The LSG Foundation launched its campaign to social networks named “Using seat belt saves lives and is sexy”. The campaign invites people to take a “selfie” in the car with the seatbelt fastened and upload the picture to social media using the hashtag #UsingSeatbeltIsSexy. Until today, over 1200 people have uploaded their photos making a success from the campaign.
The campaign came out after the deaths in april 2014 of a policewoman, some youngsters from Aguas Buenas, Cheo Feliciano (Singer) and a girl from Carolina. It’s important to remark that Luis Salazar Geigel didn’t have his seatbelt fastened when suffered his accident (February 2009).
This campaign aims to create awareness in drivers and passengers about seatbelt importance to save their lives and reduced trauma in case of crash or accident. Using seatbelt prevents, beside other complications, to people being ejected from cars, so, the probability to suffer brain injury gets reduced.
